D is for........

D is for disbelief - Today, I sent my daughters (also a "D", thank you very much) to high school. Brooke is a senior. Sydney is a freshman. While they were gone, I called one college to set up a visit and read over two other college applications. Where has the time gone?

D is for dog - I have never been secretive about the fact that I was not a "dog person". But my dear friend, Steph, and four whining, begging children changed all that! Sofie joined our family last December. I can't imagine life without her.

D is for daddy - I have the best one EVER and, yes, I still call him "daddy". I am blessed and so thankful for both of my parents.

D is for diction - I spent many hours practicing diction in many languages - Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese--during my years of voice lessons. I LOVED it! I wish I would have pursued another language. I think I would have been good at it. Maybe someday.

D is for dahlia - One of my very favorite flowers. Next year, I WILL plant some and, hopefully, the deer won't like them as much as I do.

D is for Democrat - As you might imagine, I'm not one. Never have been. Never will be. Although I will readily admit, I'm not real thrilled with the other option right now either. I've just chosen the lesser of two evils for the time being.
