I guess that's the new day and age we live in!!

Glad you aren't moving away.

I just read my comment and chuckled where I accidently wrote "2 year sting in Seattle" instead of "2 year stint"...I guess it was in someways a sting too!

B & I teach K/1 large group (we used to split the duties with Kevin & Suzie) we said a whole group "goodbye" last weekend to the Ferbers little girl Isabelle.Kathi Roachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14561294422476174702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31822452.post-66207814344790161092008-04-26T08:02:00.000-04:002008-04-26T08:02:00.000-04:00You guys aren't totally leaving the area are you?Y...You guys aren't totally leaving the area are you?

You are not alone. Brian and I have moved 4 times -- since we've had the kids---and have struggled with the very same things. (One move was on our own..upgrading from a townhouse to a single family, and the rest were work related...including a 2 year sting in Seattle, WA) It is tough not to envy those women who have those friends who've been there from the beginning & whose kids have done EVERYTHING with each other. We have been here in this house for 5 and a half years and I have to tell you that I feel truly blessed to have had this stability.

I used to joke with people that they may not want to become friends with me, because chances were pretty good that either they would be moving within 2 years or we would be moving within 2 years!

God is good, and I have to believe that all of this moving and starting over has somehow been a benefit to the kids as well as us.

Hang in there!Kathi Roachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14561294422476174702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31822452.post-88242948425876434282008-04-25T17:22:00.000-04:002008-04-25T17:22:00.000-04:00I couldn't agree with you more. This is just one ...I couldn't agree with you more. This is just one more way that we are alike. I've never lived anywhere longer than 7 years. Although at the moment, I'm tired of saying goodbye. I do look forward to heaven because I'm thinking if my future is anything like my past, that might be the only place that I don't have to say goodbye.Yarnin_Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07504102893325655783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31822452.post-13977438074183671382008-04-25T09:55:00.000-04:002008-04-25T09:55:00.000-04:00Reading this brought me back through the many good...Reading this brought me back through the many goodbyes we've said over the years.

Like you, I wouldn't change a thing - the memories, friendships, or the hard times.
