A Dream Come True

Thanks to the gift of a generous friend, Jeff was able to experience one of his lifelong dreams yesterday. He actually took the day off and went to Dover, Delaware, to enjoy the Dover 400 with two good friends. Thankfully, in spite of a dismal forecast, the rain held off, and they had a great time.

Below are some pictures from the world of Nascar. Sadly, these will only serve to confirm rather than dispel the "redneck myth" that hangs like a black cloud over the sport. But we know the truth: only true intellectuals can understand and enjoy the fine art of car racing.

I thoroughly agree with this statement, Jen!! LOL!! My dh and I are Nascar fans. We had our "dream" trip this past March when dh's cousin got us tickets to the Bristol races. Wooo hooo!! It was an early gift for my hubby's 50th birthday. We had a great time even though it SNOWED! Of course, I love snow so I told everyone it was ideal. Snow, Bristol, racing.... what more could we have asked for. Glad Jeff had a great time. And I was happy to see Jeff Burton win a race after such a long dry spell.

A lifelong dream? Really? Jeff, you can dream bigger than that. Can't you?
