Hoo-ray for Football!

Mark Clayton's autograph on Sawyer's U of Oklahoma hat.

The autograph "haul"

Raven's players preparing to practice.

Raven's Coach Brian Billick

Today was a big day for the VeStrand men. The Baltimore Ravens train at a college about 30 miles away so Jeff and the boys and some friends from church went to watch them practice and hopefully snag a few autographs too. In spite of the crowds and the heat, the boys managed to get about 20 autographs including Ray Lewis, Coach Brian Billick, Steve McNair, Corey Ivy (an OU alum), and the quintessential autograph for all of us Baltimore-dwelling Oklahoma fans (which any Lenhart descendant has no choice but to be)-----Mark Clayton! The boys were thrilled and a great time was had by all!

Oh my!!!! Every once in a while angels just descend to the earth and kiss you. Way to go VeStrand men.

P.S. Did you see Dan Cody or Kelly Gregg?

So was Grandpop thrilled. Way to go Sawyer, Grandpop can't wait to see that hat, but you'd better hold on tight or it might disappear. Hope the heat wasn't too bad. At 6:15 here tonight it was 103. Do not wash that hat.

Mom,

I do know enough to not wash the hat! In fact, Sawyer asked me to buy a "glass box" for him to keep it in! LOL! Don't know if we need to go that far though.....
It's cooled off considerably here today, thankfully! Tell Grandpop we'll trade him the hat for some of those baseball cards! :-)

WOW!!! You VeStrand men are something else. Definitely a good OU moment for the Lenharts. We needed that this week. Apparantly the angels were busy earlier this week and somehow missed Adam!

What is the blue writing on the card on the bottom left?

This really must be a guy thing. I remember when the Bills had traing camp in Fredonia and one year Jeremy and Terry went. Terry told them he was a reporter from Iowa and got they got into the locker rooms. Boy, it was flying that day!! :) Jeremy had just about every sign a football. He still has it now. And at his graduation party, he wanted it out for display. These things really leave an inpression on the guys. Why?? Not sure.
