Day 8 - Happy Easter

Here are some fun Easter facts for you.

Easter is always the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox (March 20).

This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that the Hebrews used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.

Based on the above, Easter could be even one day earlier (March 22), but that is very rare.

This year is the earliest Easter any of us will have for the rest of our lives. In fact, only the most elderly (95 years or older) have ever experienced Easter this early. The last time it happened was in 1913!

None of us have ever, or will ever, have Easter a day earlier! The next time it will be this early will be the year 2228, which is 220 years from now!

We were just talking and wondering today about how the date of Easter is decided. We were on the right track. Thanks for the confirmation!
