Day 95

Oh my! Some things are just TOO over the top.

Now I am ALL for modesty. In fact, you may remember us as the "mean parents" who have scarred their daughters for life because they won't allow them to wear bikinis a.k.a sling shots. However, this is a bit much. Good grief! And, the scary thing is that people MUST buy these things.

Secondly, I am also ALL for simplicity/no clutter/purging and all that good stuff. But I don't know if I could live with just 100 things. I don't even know if I would like to try. But it makes me wonder what 100 things I would choose?? What about you?

Finally, are you gearing up for the bloggy giveaway?? It's going to be GOOD!! So good you won't want to miss it. Stay tuned!

I double-dog-dare you to wear that fine piece of swimwear (with a straight face) to the pool with your family. Talk about scars. Your kids won't be able to breathe for weeks from the shock and horror.

That outfit actually made me laugh out loud. The grin on her face says it all...

"I'm crazy. And you know it."

Thanks for the laugh Jen.

We have made it a point to scar our children as well. Could there be a harder thing than finding modest swimwear??? My oldest pledges to start her own swimwear line that features cute and stylish swimwear for girls who are on the "smaller" side that still feature some sort of coverage up top. That is practically unheard of! You go from a thin piece of nothing (little girl sizes) to a super-duper, push'em up, padded top.

Mercy. Thanks for letting me vent.

Have a great day :)

Jeff has ordered 2 of the swimsuits for Katie - I hope they get here before camp!! We actually had to go buy a swimsuit for the girl with the longest torso in the world. Found a cute one a Kohl's. I, too, am a mother of a teen who doesn't fit into the girl sizes, nor the junior sizes and no way into the ladies sizes. Makes life fun AND expensive!!

Those swim suits remind me of days gone by at the pool, Jen. Not quite that bad, but it might as well have been for what we were used to as "modest" I think they may be for another culture than American. Also, you could never pare down to 100 things, a la Hershey nuggets. Of course you do get rid of them every day and then get a new supply.

OH - if I could afford such a prank I'd order one of those suits to give M and tell her I finally found the bathing suit I would let her wear!! It would be worth the money to see the look on her face! Oh well, she knows me better than that... I could never make it fly...

I saw this suit while searching the web for a suit for myself. I called my hubby to the computer and told him that I had found the perfect suit! We both had a good laugh!
