It's hard to believe but today our youngest child hits double digits! Sawyer is 10 today!
We celebrated his birthday as a family on Tuesday night because Jeff is out of town at a conference. Tonight, we are feasting on Dominos pizza (Sawyer's choice, obviously!) because we pull out ALL the stops for birthdays around here! We even had pumpkin pie instead of birthday cake! ick........
Sawyer had only one request for a birthday gift: a fedora. Yes. I know. I wondered the same thing but ours is not to reason why. Ours is simply to hunt all over Baltimore and Carroll counties until one finds the oft-requested fedora and secures it for the birthday boy. He was thrilled, as you can plainly see!
Sawyer also loves to write and draw. So this "How to Draw" book has been a big hit too! (And the Sports Illustrated NFL preview issue brought big smiles too!)
We are so thankful for Sawyer. By the time he was born, God must have reasoned that we deserved at least one laid-back child, and he blessed us with Sawyer! We love him dearly. He is a great student, an amazing athlete, and the resident comedian in whatever situation he finds himself. He has a great sense of humor and a tender heart! We know that God has big plans for him and we can't wait to see what amazing things HE will accomplish in Sawyer's life. We love you Sawyer!
P.S. Sawyer shares his birthday with my dad. Happy Birthday daddy! I love you!
