Stream of Consciousness

Hang on!  My mind is spinning lately!

I love the rain but these May showers are a bit much.  I wouldn't care so much except that I got me some FREE perennials off Freecyle last week and they are languishing in plastic bags in my back yard just waiting to be planted.  I was hoping for tomorrow or Saturday but the rain is supposed to continue tomorrow, and Saturday is Brooke's senior prom.  This, of course, means that no one in our house will accomplish anything except getting Brooke ready for prom!

I cannot find a graduation card for Brooke.  Have you ever looked for a graduation card?  Why are they sooo cheesy or stupid?  I just want a nice card for our daughter's high school graduation, preferably without neon butterflies, tacky sunrises, or a toilet on the front with the inscription "Way to go" on the inside!  I even went into Papyrus last night, thinking surely they would have something.  I had the younger kids with me and we had to leave because some of the cards were downright filthy.  And please don't suggest I make one.  Let's be serious here.

A friend recently asked me to join a book club she started.  I've never been in a book club before!  We are reading this book.  It's really good; I only wish I had more time to read it!

My final voice recital was yesterday.  All of the girls did a GREAT job!  I am so proud of them.  They have come a long way this school year.  We had a great time!

Brooke is having a terrible time with her allergies this year.  So last week we headed to the dermatologist, and once we got into the exam room and got settled, the nurse bustled in and said "Hello Brooke.  I see you are here for the hair replacement therapy."  I wish I'd had a camera to capture the look of pure confusion and terror on Brooke's face.

Last week a friend and I were discussing the lack of physical activity/exercise in our lives.  We were commiserating over the fact that we feel like all we do is cart children from one activity to another and wishing there were exercises we could do in the car.  Then it hit me:  Kegels are exercise aren't they?  I may not lose any weight but it sure might help other "issues."   Don't judge me.  I've had four children.

And, just in case you're wondering, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new computer.  LOVE it.

Happy weekend everyone!
