Day 69

It's Friday!! YEAH!!! Just a couple updates this morning.

First of all, YEAH DAVID COOK!!! I should probably be embarrassed, but I will admit that I voted 103---yes 103---times for him on Tuesday night! I waited until 10:30 our time and just kept hitting redial. It didn't take that long. I like to think I had a small part in his amazing victory. I enjoy deluding myself like that!

Secondly, thanks to all of you who prayed for Jeff's passport situation. For those who asked, he is going to Morocco with a missions team from our church, and he doesn't need a visa--or at least we haven't heard that he does!

For all you Maryland readers, I cannot recommend Congressman Roscoe Bartlett's office enough. Debbie, who works in his office, was so helpful. She took care of everything immediately, was available for questions and problems, and made sure that all the documents got where they needed to be. If you ever need their help, you won't be disappointed. We expect Jeff's passport to arrive in just a few days! God is good!

Finally, and MOST fun, I got to talk to Kim from MercyDays in real life on Wednesday afternoon! We chatted for just a short time, but I can tell that if she were here in Maryland, we would be fast friends. I don't have enough time and space to tell you how God orchestrated different things to bring about that phone call but suffice it to say that God is AMAZING. I cannot believe all the connections and puzzle pieces that he put together for Kim and I to chat. Best of all, I may get to meet her in real life this summer!

Hope you all have a great holiday weekend! Jeff is off with the 8th grade boys on their retreat. They'll be having paintball wars and eating lots of camp food, so don't feel too bad for him! The kids and I will just hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Hopefully, someone will want to see our house but I'm not holding my breath about that! Happy Friday!

Hey, I tagged you in one of those questionaire games on by blog.

I figured it would give you something to blog about for one of your 100 days.

Yes! David Cook! He was our favorite all along!!!

You are cracking me up with the voting :)

I so enjoyed talking with you and I still stand in awe of God and his incredible ways! You are so gracious to be available and reach out to someone who is so very dear to me.

I am looking forward to our *blog-date* in July! We will be there a couple of days before the 4th, so surely we can meet up :)

Blessings Jen!

Oh, and I am so glad things worked out for Jeff and his passport. I have to tell you, I have heard so many ridiculous stories about difficulties in obtaining passports. I am glad yours had a happy ending ;)

I'm so thankful that the passport situation got resolved fairly "easily"...well...sort of easily...if you count blood, sweat and tears in the "easy" category!

Ron leaves June 15 for his trip to Lithuania, Latvia, Moscow and Siberia...yeah...the trip I was SUPPOSED to get to go on with him. Much of his time is already wrapped up in the planning of this trip!

I know what it's like to be here at home when the hubby travels...I'll certainly be praying for you!

Have a good weekend while you're flying solo. At least you should have sunny weather to enjoy.
