I spent much of today on the telephone (in between laundry loads). We are having a work event this weekend and many people are calling with questions, etc. However, one particular phone call stands out in my mind. It went something like this:
Caller: So what time should I be there?
Jen: A quarter to six should be good.
Silent and very pregnant pause....
Caller: So does that mean 5:45?
A stunned pause...
Jen: Ummm....yes, it does.
It's probably good I was on the telephone or my face would have betrayed my utter disbelief. It's one thing if my 10-year old can't grasp this concept (although he does!) but this man is in his 30s. Unreal.

Jason and Rachel never heard "quarter of" or "quarter after" until they moved to MD. Took them awhile to figure out what it meant.
Jen, I still laugh about the last phone conversation you posted about the lady wanting to relocate to MD from Miami by the end of the call!
Jodie, I'll have to tease them about that!
Jen, you are picking on us again? Just please remember your husband is also a man. I do love the this place. Don
